Directing & Devising
Babel/d (2019)
Exploring queer legacies and religious upbringings through the metaphor of the Tower of Babel, I originally devised this piece with collaborators Alexis Riley and Rob Yoho as a two-person performance art event through the Lab Theatre at the University of Texas at Austin. It was later selected and significantly revised for a solo performance at the 2019 Sunstone Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mental Blocks (2019)
With collaborators Rob Yoho, Gabriella Vargas, Christian Lewis, and Jenn Hamm, I wrote, devised, and performed in a “theatrical game” with over 20 short scripts and performances, including eating a lot of jello and teaching audience members how to pray. This show was produced by Ouch! Theatre at the Ground Floor Theatre in Austin, Texas.
Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl (2017)
I directed Ruhl’s seriocomedy as part of the Mask Club Series at the Nelke Theatre.
The V-Project (2016)
I devised, wrote, and acted in this documentary theatre piece exploring women’s experiences in Utah County, which included a nine-month research period holding workshops and conducting interviews for material. This full-length show was produced independently and staged at the Echo Theatre in Provo, Utah.
Shattering Sky (2013)
I participated as an actor/deviser in a one-act exploring grief, loss, and redemption produced in Provo, Utah.

Cocoa Puffs – Mad Maps (2021)
As part of a collective of artists around the U.S., I used film to document the performance process of growing bean seedlings in mixtures of potting soil and ground Cocoa Puffs. Mad Maps explored the way grocery products use clinical language as part of their advertising, and the collaborative piece premiered digitally as part of the Cohen New Works Festival.
Art Prom (2018)
Under the direction of performance artist Michael Smith, we threw an “Art Prom” dance party — lowering on cables a five-foot-wide crown to trap people, painting faces, and generally having way too good a time. The event was hosted by the Museum of Human Achievement (MOHA) in Austin, Texas.
Striking the Set (2015)
In collaboration with Pearl and Aloe Corry and exploring the intersections between the visual arts and the theatrical arts, I performed in The Echo Center for the Arts gallery. This work won ORCA and Reverb grants, and I presented on the collaboration for the 2016 SLAM conference.
